The Diocesan CRB Workbook can be downloaded - click here for a PDF version. It is intended to provide guidance for parishes when completing applications to the Criminal Records Bureau and includes a check list giving details of those who currently need to be checked.

Registration with the Independent Safeguarding Authority was to have begun in July 2010 for those who want to work with children or vulnerable adults. This has been postponed by the Government, and it is being reviewed. The range of posts for which CRB clearance can be sought is also being reviewed, but the checklist summarises the current position.
The current CRB form was introduced in July 2010. Diocesan guidance notes for applicants to help them complete the form are sent out with each copy, and can also be downloaded here with notes for the person which checks the identity of the applicant:
