Stephen Cherry is the Director of Ministerial Development and Parish Support
Stephen is leader of the Diocesan Resource Team. He is also responsible for Continuing Ministerial Development (CMD) for clergy, and is a Residentiary Canon of Durham Cathedral.

Alison Moore is the Authorised Pastoral Assistants Officer and Bishop's Adviser in Pastoral Care and Counselling
Alison is responsible for the selection, training and support of Authorised Pastoral Assistants. She is available to parishes who seek to develop their pastoral work. She is also responsible for the diocesan College of Counsellors which offers a confidential counselling service to church members and clergy.

Alistair Jenkins is the Stewardship Development Officer
Alistair's role is to work with and support parishes and deaneries throughout the Diocese to meet the challenge of communicating Christian Stewardship as an integral part of church life. He can advise on what type of stewardship programme would be most suitable, and has developed a network of Local Giving Officers (LoGOs) as local 'champions' for stewardship.

Judy Hirst is the Local Church Growth and Development Adviser
Judy is responsible for the development of Shared Ministry in parishes across the diocese of Durham. She will also support local churches as they seek to grow in spirituality, discipleship, faithfulness, outreach and numbers.

Richard Collins is the Diocesan Director of Ordinands
He is responsible for the discernment of vocations to ordained ministry and oversees training up to ordination. Richard is also priest in charge of Lumley Christ Church

Peter Biggers is the Inspired North East Development Officer
Inspired North East is a joint project with Newcastle Diocese and Peter's role (along with colleagues Andrew Duff and David Lovie in Newcastle Diocese) is to support parishes in the appreciation, conservation, development and promotion of church buildings and spiritual heritage.

Nicholas Rowark is Adviser for Youth Ministry
Nick is available to help parishes and deaneries with any aspect of youth ministry including starting from scratch, strategy, training, worship, resources ideas, youth clubs, working with uniformed organisations, running events and employing a paid youth worker.

Sharon Pritchard is Adviser for Children's Ministry
Sharon’s role is to offer training, resources, support and encouragement for all involved in children’s ministry in parishes across the diocese. She can support current work and help you develop new work
with children in areas such as Messy Church, Children and Holy Communion, Prayer Spaces in Schools and Churches and lots more.

Sheelagh Aston is Diocesan Ecumenism Reources Officer
Sheelagh's role is to support Local Ecumenical Partnerships and to encourage and advise parishes who wish to work collaboratively with their ecumenical neighbours. She also oversees the Diocese's LEP Network Group and represents the Diocese at regional ecumenical bodies.

Joyce Parker is Administration Team Leader and PA to the Director of Ministerial Development and Parish Support
Joyce is responsible for organising and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient administrative support service to the DRT. She supports the Director in managing multiple priorities and also administers all aspects of CMD including project managing conferences and training events. In addition she provides support for the Local Church Growth and Development Adviser.
