All our counselling is provided by a network of professionally qualified counsellors. They have different backgrounds and specialist areas. They all work according to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This includes having regular supervision.
The counsellors do not impose their own values or beliefs. However, as Christians they are well placed to include the spiritual and religious dimension if you want to talk about any faith issues as part of your counselling. The counsellor may well come from a different Christian tradition from yours, but will always show respect for your experience.
The counsellors work in a variety of settings in different locations around Durham Diocese. Some offer their time on a voluntary basis, others make a charge.
