NEW BISHOP OF JARROW ORDAINED
	On Thursday13 September, the Rt Revd Mark Bryant was consecrated as the next Bishop of Jarrow by Dr John Sentamu, Archbishop of York. Mark, who was formerly the Archdeacon of Coventry, succeeds Bishop John Pritchard.

	70 Years in Service!
	St James Church at Coundon near Bishop Auckland held a celebratory mass on Sunday, 18th of March, conducted by the Right Reverend John Pritchard, the then Bishop of Jarrow, to honour a long standing member of the congregation.

	Durham Diocese said goodbye and thank you to Bishop John and Wendy Pritchard on Thursday 19 April. Bishop John will be inaugurated as the Bishop of Oxford on Friday 8 June in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.

	The Revd Canon Nick Barker has been appointed as the next Archdeacon of Auckland to succeed the Ven Ian Jagger who has recently become Archdeacon of Durham. Canon Barker will also be Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Darlington.

	Downing Street announced on Monday 11 December that Bishop John has been appointed as the next Bishop of Oxford. He will be hugely missed in Durham and he goes with our love and prayers and grateful thanks for all he has given to us.

	On Thursday 30 November, the Venerable Ian Jagger was installed as the new Archdeacon of Durham during a special service of Evensong in Durham Cathedral. Ian was formerly Archdeacon of Auckland.
